AusHeat Series 9 consists of 1 class:
- We will be using the 06 updated 2005 V8SC mod.
The V8 Supercar races consist of two
20-30 minute races.
Qualification is used to determine start positions for the first race, and
the finishing positions are reversed for the grid of the second race.
For
this series we are using standing starts; when the cars are released for the
rolling start, just hit the brakes and then form up in a block grid, or
using the track's grid markers where available.
A pace lap at 75% pace is performed for the second race only to allow
everyone to assume the correct position.
When the driver in last position
sees that the grid is formed up, he announces "10" to indicate 10 seconds
until the start. After approximately 10 seconds the pole-sitter
types "Go!" and the race is on. Pitting is
not usually required except to repair damage, however for some races a compulsory
pit stop will be required (usually the second race).
